Common Computer Viruses

Malware, Spyware, Trojan, Whale phishing – these days viruses come in many forms. Evermore severe and of malicious intent, the worst can take over your computer and track your information, key presses and steal your personal information, even your online identity and potentially effect your finances or in worse case scenarios encrypt all your data to hold you to ransom.

If you have any suspicion of an email being possibly fake, or a web address or program or flash drive, anything external to the machine that could be fake or seems iffy looking – do not use, do not click on it – and if you do and realise too late, try to disconnect and run your virus scan, but if your computer has been infected, you must address it immediately before damage is caused.
